Chris Wright

Chris joined Oak View as a Landscape Operative in 2020 initially working on several prestigious commercial contracts and learning the practical skills of landscaping under the mentoring of one of our experienced Project Managers. It was clear after a short period with Oak View that Chris had great potential, this was matched by his keenness to learn and progress. After a few years working on site Chris joined the office team and is developing his career in Contract Management. He is responsible for ensuring that Oak View deliver projects on time, safely, profitably and to a high-quality standard.

James Downer

James joined Oak View in 2024 after a successful period working in the construction industry as a Site Manager with Countryside Properties and Tilia Homes. James graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a first-class honours’ degree in Construction Project Management. James heads up our commercial contracting department overseeing our Contracts Managers and planning and procurement teams. The experience gained as a Site Manager offers Oak View a unique selling point when working with house builders and construction companies with James understanding and appreciating first hand the challenges faced by our clients.

Sandra Downer

Sandra has been Company Secretary at Oak View Landscapes since its formation in 2004. Sandra has a wealth of experience in construction sales after working for over 20 years for national and local house builders in new homes sales, many have since become clients of Oak View. At Oak View she carries out a varied role of administrative functions with specific duties within HR, H&S, estimating and procurement. Sandra also supports the directors in their roles.

Lucy Holt

Lucy joined Oak View in 2020. She is responsible for managing, maintaining and reporting the Company’s extensive financial records on behalf of the directors and ensuring our suppliers are paid in a timely manner. Lucy has over 20 years experience as a legal secretary, fee earner and in accounts. She enjoys playing netball, spending time with her family and traveling.

Paul Downer

Paul founded Oak View Landscapes in 2004. He has built a team of highly respected professional staff who share his passion for quality landscape installation whilst working for a market leading, award winning company. Paul has over 30 years of experience within the landscaping industry after graduating from Writtle University College in 1989. As well as leading Oak View, Paul performs an active role within the industry sector. He is a Director of BALI, a previous National Chairman from 2016-18 and recently he served as a Board Governor at Writtle University College for several years. He also plays a key active role…
